Since 1974, Marick Inc. in Des Moines, Waterloo, Wichita, and Omaha has been a family-owned and operated business helping businesses in the area with heating, cooling, and refrigeration services.

Dick Thornton opened Marick Inc. with a simple mission to provide our customers with world-class HVAC and Refrigeration Services
1979
Opened up the first official office location in Des Moines, IA
1985
The company formally established Construction operations and expanded the reach of the business
1990
Marick started offering grocery store equipment sales, installation, and store designs
1997
Ever-expanding ― a Sheet Metal department was created to aid in various projects across the company
1999
Dick Thornton passed the Marick legacy on to his sons, Mark and Rick, as new owners and operating managers of Marick Inc.
2003
Mark and Rick Thornton merged with Nelson Services in Omaha, NE, to expand their reach within the Midwest
2005
Satellite location opened in Waterloo, IA
2008
With business continuing to grow, an additional branch was opened in Wichita, KS
2013
Satellite location opened in Ottumwa, IA
2021
Satellite location opened in Sioux City, IA
2022
Marick Inc. partnered with Astra Service Partners as we continued to grow at a record pace
2023
Marick Inc. rebranded and became Marick Mechanical as we launched new areas of operation in Plumbing Service and Controls

Marick adds and opens two new departments, Plumbing and Controls to continue offering you world class services

Marick Mechanical celebrates 50 years of service and business to their local communities and looks forward to the next 50 years to come
